This page explains which businesses appear when you search the Bossmetics marketplace, the order in which they appear, how paid placements work and where reviews come from.
We publish this information in line with the EU Platform-to-Business Regulation (EU) 2019/1150 and EU consumer protection law.
A business appears in search results only if all of the following apply:
Businesses that no longer meet these conditions are hidden automatically, so you don't come across salons that have closed or aren't taking bookings. If you open such a business through a direct link, its profile says that it is not taking online bookings right now.
Your search words, city, category, price range, minimum rating and search radius are filters: they decide whether a business is shown, not where it appears.
By default (“Relevance”), results are ordered as follows:
Bossmetics sets these weights, and they are the same for every business.
You can choose another order at any time:
Businesses can pay Bossmetics for a placement that lasts a fixed period:
Both are marked “Sponsored” in the results. Within each group, results follow the order you chose. Paying does not change a business's rating or reviews.
Reviews on Bossmetics come only from clients who actually had an appointment:
If you think a result or a review breaks these rules, write to us at contact@bossmetics.com. Businesses can use the same address for questions or complaints about their listing and its ranking.

Whichever order you choose, paid placements stay at the top and are labelled.
Not used for ranking: which subscription plan a business has, or commission — Bossmetics takes no commission on bookings. The only payments that affect the order are the paid placements described below.
Bossmetics removes a review only if it breaks one of these rules:
We never remove a review because it is negative or because the business disagrees with it.
A new review that contains a word or phrase on our moderation list is checked by our team before it is published — whatever its star rating.
Our team decides every report and every held review: if the review breaks these rules, it is hidden and no longer counts towards the rating; otherwise it is published. We record the reason for each decision and tell the business that reported the review; the author is told when their review is removed or, after a check, published.
